Fortunately, the vast majority of people involved in accidents make a full recovery from their injuries.
In some cases, people suffer injuries so serious that they will never make a full recovery, or they will need a great deal of help and assistance to get better.
In these cases, our aim is to ensure that the Third Party Insurers fund whatever treatment and assistance is required to help with your recovery, protect you financially, and help you plan for the future.
We will look to obtaining interim payments to compensate for your Loss of Earnings. We will seek agreement from the Third Party Insurers that they will pay for any treatment that you need. In some cases, we arrange for the appointment of an expert in Rehabilitation. The role of the Rehabilitation Specialist is to co-ordinate all the various services that you need. For example, they can liaise with your Employer to agree a gradual return to work. If you need to re-train, then they will organise funding for a re-training programme. In very serious cases, the claimant may need to move to new, specially adapted accommodation. The Rehabilitation Specialist will arrange for the necessary reports to be obtained from architects and other professionals.
In some High Value claims, liability is in dispute. If so, we will look to starting court proceedings as soon as possible to decide whether or not the Third Party was to blame for the accident. If we succeed, then all the rehabilitation services can be put in place as soon as possible.
