Steve Page

Steve Page
As Managing Director, Steve is responsible for ensuring that CW Law delivers a high quality service to the clients. He qualified as a Solicitor in 1993 having previously worked in the NHS and for major UK charities. For the past 15 years, he has specialised in Personal Injury Law.

Chris Chan
Solicitor, Managing Solicitor

Christine joined the company recently from leading regional firm Withy King. She is a specialist Law Society Personal Injury Panel member and the Co-ordinator of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers’ South West Group. She has over 12 years experience acting exclusively for Claimants. As Managing Solicitor, Chris specialises in complex high value claims involving multiple orthopaedic injuries and brain injuries, accidents at work, public liability and road traffic accident claims. Her career highlights to date include acting for several victims of the London Bombings and bringing a claim for a child who was brain-injured in utero. She is a keen hockey player and likes to keep fit.

Rosemary Williams
Rosemary has worked in Solicitors as a Legal Cashier for more than 15 years. She joined CW Law in 2003 and has watched the company and her role grow until the company is the present size. She is always looking for new challenges and ways to enable the company to be more productive. Outside of work she rides a motorbike and enjoys rock music.

Chris Holmes

Team Leader, Associate Solicitor

Chris is one of CW Law’s Team Leaders.  He read for his Law Degree at Nottingham, and qualified as a Solicitor in 1996.  He has specialised in Personal Injury claims since 1999, and he is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). His interests include attending music festivals and traveling to exotic locations. When closer to home, he plays tennis and watches a variety of sport – usually whilst enjoying a quiet drink with friends.
Martin Brown

Litigation Executive

Martin has over 20 years experience in the Motor Insurance industry.  He started out with Norwich Union in 1988, and after 9 years moved to Crowe Insurance where he managed his own Personal Injury team.  During his 6 years as a Manager at Crowe, he successfully defended cases against Arriva Buses and the Merseyside Police Force.  He is a fanatical Bristol City supporter and watches his team, both home & away, every week without fail.
Steve Cutlan

Litigation Executive

Prior to joining CW Law in 2003, Steve spent eight years with Royal & Sun Alliance where he gained substantial experience of dealing with all aspects of Personal Injury claims.   His interests include supporting Bristol Rovers and a good work-out in the gym.
Melanie Bushnell

Legal Executive

Melanie has worked as a Personal Injury Specialist for the past 10 years and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2001.  In her spare time, she is a glorified taxi driver to her 3 children, is an avid Gunners fan and regularly enjoys gym sessions (when she gets the time)!
Andrew Slade

Litigation Executive

Andrew is highly qualified, and has almost ten years experience of dealing with motor claims. A Cardiff lad, he enjoys following the fortunes of the Welsh National rugby and football sides, and plays squash, golf and tennis in his spare time.

Angela Carnell

Team Leader, Associate Solicitor

Angela qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1999, and as a Solicitor in 2004.  Her background is in Commercial Litigation and Employment Law.  Angela has been dealing exclusively with Personal Injury claims since 1997, and she is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).  She manages a team of Personal Injury Specialists and Support Staff, and is a Team Leader.

Smantha Mercer

Sam is a member of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX).  She graduated from Portsmouth University in 1997, and in the eleven years since she graduated, she has been dealing with claims resulting from Road Traffic Accidents.  Since 2001, she has dealt specifically with Personal Injury cases, and has acted for both Claimant, and Defendant.  She enjoys the gym, the occasional glass of wine, travel, and spending time with her family.

Ian Twomey

Litigation Executive

Ian graduated in Law from Bristol University in 2003   He specialises in Personal Injury claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents, and has a particular interest in whiplash injuries.  His other interests include playing football, and golf.

Tim Rogers

Tim has many years of experience within the motor insurance industry and joined CW Law in 2010. He specialises in Personal Injury cases arising from Road Traffic Accidents and is studying towards his ILEX qualifications. His out of work interests include supporting Bristol Rovers, the Atlanta Falcons in American Football and he enjoys keeping fit by running and playing football.

Mike McAulay

Mike read English at University, and joined the company in 2005.  He  is currently completing his ILEX Legal Executive qualifications.

Shaun Mitchell 

Team Leader, Solicitor

Shaun Mitchell

Shaun has been a Solicitor since 2000. He spent the first part of his career at the RAC but he has also worked at Clarke Willmott in Bristol and Leech & Co. in Bath. His experience is firmly based in Claimant Personal Injury Litigation. Outside of the office he is quite a culture vulture visiting art galleries, museums, theatres etc. and then talking about them in the bar afterwards.

Kate Underwood

Kate has 10 years experience in the motor insurance/Personal Injury industry.  She specialises in dealing with Personal Injury cases arising out of Road Traffic Accidents – particularly those in which motorbikes are involved.  Her outside interests include horse riding, snow boarding, and 4x4 off-roading.
Debbie Mitchell

Debbie, who read Social Psychology at Sussex University, joined CW Law in July 2005 having previously been employed by the London Court Service.  Her other interest include reading, keeping fit and DIY.
James Wilkes

James graduated from the University of the West of England with an Honours Degree in International & European Law.   Since graduating in 2007 he has worked for CW Law.  James is a keen cyclist and runner and enjoys keeping fit.  His interests also lie in classic cars and Three Day Eventing.   

Salma Maqsood

Salma Maqsood

Salma read Law at the University of the West of England. She undertook her Training Contract in London where she qualified as a Solicitor in 2008. Salma enjoys travelling, reading, eating out and spending time with her family.

Anita Bignall
Litigation Executive

Anita has 10 years experience of  working in the motor insurance industry, and has dealt with all aspects of claims including Personal Injury, Credit Hire, and Recovery of Uninsured Losses.   Her qualifications are Motor Insurance related, and include the Certificate of Insurance Practice.  She enjoys walking, cycling, and wine, and also enjoys the cinema, the theatre, and visiting museums.  When not doing these things, she likes to spend time with her family and friends.

Jon Collett

Team Leader, Solicitor

Jon is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).  He spent the first 13 years of his career at the RAC, and his experience is firmly based in claimant Personal Injury Litigation.   His leisure pursuits include virtually anything to do with motorcycles, DIY, music and (very) amateur guitar playing, reading and travel.
Richard Green

Richard is a Legal Executive who has worked in claimant PI for 8 years, which previous experience with company law and insurance litigation. He studied Law at UWE, Bristol and graduated with an Honours Degree in 1988. He has also studied French at Bristol University. He is currently studying the Legal Practice Course. Richard has a particular interest in employers, public and product liability claims. He enjoys reading, football and cricket, current affairs, music, playing guitar and computing. He is a keen West Ham fan.
Sarah Green

Sarah is a Legal Executive who has worked in claimant PI for approximately 10 years. Prior to joining CW Law she worked for David Gist Solicitors in Bristol specialising in Personal Injury claims arising out of road traffic accidents involving motorcyclists. Her interests and hobbies include eating out, travelling, socialising with family and friends and shopping, particularly for shoes which she has a slight obsession with! She also enjoys going to the gym as well as running and took part in the Bristol half Marathon in 2008.
Jeff Heasman

Litigation Executive

Jeff has over 10 years experience of conducting litigation relating to workplace health and safety issues, accidents in public places and product liability claims.  Jeff has dealt with litigation at all levels, having acted on behalf of the successful party in a case that reached the Court of Appeal on a particular point of law involving health and safety legislation and has dealt with claims arising in various parts of the world including Iraq, Slovakia, Poland, Germany and Australia.  In his spare time Jeff enjoys playing and watching rugby, although admittedly does far more watching than playing these days.

Leon Lo

Leon has worked for CW Law for 4 years. Leon has worked his way up through the ranks of the Company to become a Personal Injury Litigator within the employment and public liability team. However, he specialises is in road traffic accidents. He is highly active and plays football on a regular basis. Leon is one of the key goal scorers for the CW Liabilities football team.

Glenn Barker

Team Leader, Solicitor

Glen Barker

Glenn has specialised in Personal Injury litigation for the last 7 years and joined the team at CW Law in May 2009. Previously he was a practising Barrister specialising in Criminal Defence and general common law (including personal injury). Eventually he saw the light and transferred within the profession to become a Solicitor and was admitted in 2004. He specialises in all areas of PI work including Road Traffic and Employers Liability cases from the most serious to the more routine in nature.

Amy Hillgrove

Amy moved to Bristol and joined CW Law as a Solicitor. She has had four years experience of working in the field of Claimant Personal Injury and has a particular interest in Employer’s Liability and Public Liability cases.

Estelle Lane

Estelle undertook a Law degree at the University of the West of England, Bristol and then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course.  She qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 2008.  Estelle has been dealing with Personal Injury claims since 2003 and has over 7 years experience in all types of Personal Injury Law including acting for Defendants as well as Claimants.  Her interests include following the highs and lows of the Welsh Rugby team as well as regularly attending gigs, concerts and West End musicals.

Lucy Neate

Lucy is an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives.  She read Law at Kings College London and is currently completing further legal studies in Bristol. She joined the Company in 2009 and deals with all types of Personal Injury claims.  Lucy enjoys going to the cinema and is a fan of Formula 1.

Matthew Teakle

Team Leader, Solicitor

Matt is a Solicitor and member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) with 10 years' experience of acting for both Claimants and Defendants. Prior to CW Law he worked for 2 of the largest regional firms in the country. His areas of expertise lie in Employer's Liability and Public Liability claims, but he deals with a wide variety of cases, and often acts in claims of high value. His outside interests include following the successes (and too frequent failures) of Liverpool FC and Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.
Mathew Lelliott

Solicitor

Matthew read Law, and then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the University of the West of England.  He specialises in Personal Injury claims arising from Road Traffic Accidents, and vehicle hire claims.  In addition, he has acted for a number of companies who have suffered loss of revenue as a result of road traffic accidents.  He is a keen racing cyclist and mountain biker, and his other interests include wine, horse riding and photography.
Robert Mercer

Kerry Leahy

Kerry graduated in Law from the University of the West of England in 2005 and since graduating, she has been dealing with claims resulting from Road Traffic Accidents specialising in Claimant motorbike claims. She is currently completing her ILEX Legal Executive qualifications; her other interests include singing, music and wine. Kerry sings as a baritone with a female barbershop chorus who came 12th in the national competition last year as well as performing at music festivals and shows. She also completed her PADI scuba diving course last year and has been diving in Egypt.
